She is brought up speaking English and Chinese and learnt Malay during her schooling in Malaysia. She's of Hokkien dialect and can carry out daily conversation in Hokkien. She can converse a little in Cantonese. She's the only child in the family, thus her parents dotes on her a lot. She's proud that her father had never had to discipline her. She loves all of her family members, even those that she can't stand. Her familiar is a book. Her passion for reading burns after she read Harry Potter. She enjoys watching game shows, especially Japanese game shows. She love day dreaming and take it as a way to make herself feel better. She enjoys laughing and do not like tears on her face, so she keeps her tears in the attic of her mind, constantly disappearing them. She'll be back in Singapore in year 2009, where she hopes to excel in the field of Engineering. Red Cross and Red Crescent Society is the one that matures her and let her see the world with her own eyes. She loves being a member of the Kiwanis big family and hopes to remain an active member even though she'll be leaving Key Club end of this year. She's also proud to be a Convent girl (Attended 1998-2008 Class of 2008) From Class 1 Delima in 1998, then 2 Delima (1999), 3 Delima (2000), 4 Delima (2001), 5 Delima (2002), 6 Delima (2003), then Secondary 1 Cempaka (no streaming, not counted, Year 2004), 2 Anggerik (2005) and 3 Anggerik (2006) she had been a student of the top class in school. Year 2007 marks her slip, as she continues in class 4 Science 2 and then 5 Science 2 (2008), which was when she decided to slow down and takes things slowly while finding her roots and thinking and deciding for her future. So don't confuse the names with someone anybody knows :) Saturday, April 25, 2009 MONDAYWoke up at 5.30am. Ate some bread, and off to customs. Ran all the way to overtake the crowd, and hopefully get to queue up for the bus earlier. Start queueing for bus right at the top of the stairs. Not bad a feat, compared to the other week. Phew. Got on the bus, snabbed a seat. Happy. Took a little nap from the 40 minutes ride to Singapore customs. Bus is moving at Gary's (of Spongebob) speed, bumper to bumper. Woke up, was amused to find Angie awake, thought her classes starts at 9.15. Singtel got no signal suddenly, so whipped out my other phone and wondered who to message. Smiled, and sent to Fann. Lo and behold, Fann replied instantaneously (kinda). Just as our conversation ends, I swung my bag over my shoulders and hopped down the bus, and rushed to get my passport scanned. Run run run, and got on the bus before my bus! Rather elated. [insert gleeful expression] Got down at Kranji, and ran up the escalator to squeeze in the train, just in time! Pants a little, and continues messaging Angie. Huzzah! Here's Jurong East interchange! Uh-oh, what's that? Is that the dreaded CROWD?!?! Oh no, it is! Take a deep breath, braced myself, and ran towards the middle of the crowd After scratching a little of my head, I found W14, got down a flight of stairs to get 1 right, and next... 2? walked the whole block twice, and I only saw room 4, no room 2! Panicked a little and when to the toilet. Checked watch. Good. 8.00am, and classes starts at 9.00am. [pause] Wait, what?! One more hour?! Gawd. Got out of toilet after recalling all the horror movies that started in toilet. Half expected blood to gush out when I flush, etc etc. Shudder, got out. Aha! Saw a fellow with a case! Must be one of the lecturers. Me: Excuse me? May I ask, where is W1412? Fellow: W1412? Hmmm, the W14 means it's Workshop Block 14, so you find block 14 first. [glance around] Me: [stared at the fellow. right beside us is a humongous sign with W14 on it] Fellow: [saw the humongous sign] Ah! Here la! So, next number, 1, so it's first floor. [looks around] Me: O.O [right beside us is the road and carpark! and SP doesn't have multi-storey carpark] Fellow: [saw the sign beside the stairs] Ah! See? Correct, first floor! So, 1412, so it's room 2! You just go about the block, look for room 2! Me: I did, but i still can't find it. I saw 4, though. Fellow: [frowns] Hm... Come, follow me, we look again, ok? Walking about half the block, saw some guy with signs of going botak. Fellow: Excuse me? Where is 1412? Botak: [looks at me] Along this corridor. First year? [I nodded] Class 9am right? [nod] You wait outside first. It's about here. Me: O.O Oh, okay. Thanks! [To Fellow and Botak] [waits outside patiently] [whistled the whole song of Lonely Ferris Wheel] And then Guy: Uh, where is the class? I looked. Oh, it's Xiao Feng, the China guy from my class. Me: About here, just wait for the rest la. Xiao Feng: Oh. [goes away I got bored, and took a trip to toilet. Came out from toilet. Found a friendly looking pillar. Leant on it, took out iPod. Voice: WENDY!!! I started, and look. Wee Shian! And... Who? Walks closer... Bala! And... Erm, not sure... Me: Hey, morning! Wee Shian, Bala: Morning! Chatted a bit, and Sara came. Me: Yo. Sara: [cool nod] [listens music] Later... Dude: Class 1B 23 right? Come in, come in. My class, 7 of us got put into another group. Wee Shian was just saying that it is gonna be easy to take attendance of the girls in the new group now. And then. I saw some complications. By the name of another girl. Yeah, so then, I met Liyana, class 24. Introduction to Engineeering. First class, intro to the machine too. My machine: #35. First lesson in poly, cut the aluminium thingy at one side. Cut. *scoffs* more like shave lor. Sara was waiting outside when I got my hand clean. Told her I'm going ICA Building to collect my new passport. She says she wanna go with me! I was all, "All the way there and back?! No need la!" And she went, "I got nothing to do also..." And so we trotted there and back. We have 2 hours break, 12pm-2pm. When we got back, it was only 1pm. Bleh. Both of us when high and low in search for food. Settled for FC5, 7-11. Caesar Salad for me. Pathetic. After quite sometime, the dratted 2 hours is 3/4 gone. We went in search of the next room. Mechanics 1 sounds interesting... Stood about waiting for 2pm to arrive. Amused myself by admiring my new passport. And then, I spotted Liyana! Me: Liyana! Liyana: Wendy! You this class too? Me: *nods* Got in the class. Took the prime seat. I'll seriously nod off if I sit at the back. Sara took the seat behind me. After much struggling, this other girl from Liyana's class say beside me, with Liyana at her other side. And this girl, she's Cheryl FooL. (Sorry, Cheryl, I just had to do that. xD). And we kinda went crazy just like that. LOL. Mechanics. Hmm, sounds interesting, but it is very much like Physics. So far, it's like revising triangle of forces and such. =.= TUESDAY Mechanics tutorial first thing in the morning. Hmmm... Okay... And then. Something called OC. Something very amusing happened, and to type it out, it loses all its shine. So there. After school, wanders about, waiting for Angie to finish her class. Went to Causeway Point and brood brood brood. Stayed over at Angie's place.
WEDNESDAY
Woke up. Brush teeth. Change. Got on bus and reached MRT. Got on MRT and reached school. Aha. CAD. For one whole day. O.O CAD is actually Computer Aided Drafting. Like lukisan teknik we used to do for KH, but using computer.
THURSDAY Get to sleep in. Class starts at 11am. Wow, almost typed in pm there. First class, Intro to Engineering tutorial. After which is lunch. And then, Electronics lecture. Stood outside the room. And then, we see Liyana and Cheryl! Same class for this! After lecture, it's practical. In the lab. And it was awesome. Fun! Logic gates, IC, wires, LEDs. :D
FRIDAY Class starts at 8am! Mechanics practical. But what was I doing at 8am? Glancing at the time worriedly on the MRT. Why? I WOKE UP AT FREAKING 6.30AM!!!! When I got to class, it's 8.20am. Luckily, the teacher is okay with it. Phew. Got in same group as Hafiz, Mark and Jaryl. And then, IDEA. In this rather nice room. Crapped a lot during class with Bala.
And this concludes my first week in SP. Music is Love.
